refugees welcome. celtic was founded with the purpose of alleviating poverty in the immigrant irish population in the east end of glasgow scotland in the late-1800s. banners at celtic park read “created by immigrants - refugees welcome”. we stand by this and always have. for the 2023-24 season scarf i wanted to do something to benefit one of our favorite non-profits freedom house detroit through a charity scarf. a portion of the proceeds of every one of these scarves sold will go to freedom house to aid them in all of the necessary work they do for refugees here in our fine city.
